The Sierra County Commission will consider whether to hire American Stewarts of Liberty, which states it is “a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting private property rights, defending the use of our land, and restoring local control. Our strategies are unique, effective, and the cause of some of the most important victories for property rights in America over the last twenty years.”
The contract states it will help the county with “natural resource” issues, specifically, “resolving conflicts on behalf of its citizens with the Grey Wolf Recovery Plan.”
The organization would be paid $18,000, with travel and other expenses to be paid separately.
The meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 9 a.m., 855 Van Patten St.
