Photograph of the Week
Sunday morning, Hillsboro
This New Mexico village is always pretty as a picture, especially on a quiet, sunlit autumn morning. But the sight of a loose horse grazing “downtown” stopped the visitor in his tracks. His photograph captures not only the unexpected scene, but the interesting shadow play on the street and the enduring charm of indigenous rural architecture.
Taken the day after the presidential vote count crystallized, the photograph memorializes a moment when everything has changed, and nothing has changed.
